Marketing & Social Media Intern

The opportunity

Newfields is an award-winning boutique law firm with offices in Cardiff, Bristol, Exeter and Swansea that delivers immigration solutions to businesses and sport organisations, including individuals and their families.

The role

We are looking for an intern who can offer support to Newfields to enhance the firm’s brand through various social media channels, video content and e-brochures, through original and eye-catching graphic design. The role will cover the following responsibilities:

  • desktop/online research including competitor analysis (specifically reviewing initiatives and work undertaken by other immigration firms and law firms more generally
  • working with our team and our clients to design eye catching social media and video content, including e-brochures
  • tracking and optimising social media campaigns across several platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • responding to comments and DMs on social media platforms
  • brainstorming and researching ideas for original content
  • creating compelling graphics to share across social channels
  • ensuring the brand message is consistent

All content and equipment will be provided.

Skills required

  • Experience with major social platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and TikTok
  • Experience with digital content and video creation
  • Graphic design skills that catch the eye
  • Genuine interest and passion for all Social Media platforms
  • IT literate and competent in all Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also motivated to work independently
  • An understanding of confidentiality
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Creative mindset and an eye for design with experience in graphic design tools and video editing software
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of social media

Additional information

This placement will be hosted at the firm’s offices in Cardiff, with opportunities to undertake tasks remotely. Applicants must be in a position to commit at least two regular mornings or afternoons per week.

This paid internship will be for a period of 3 months initially, commencing in November 2024, with opportunities to extend further.
