Wales-founded Open Moove launches digital solution to transform the UK’s property market to combat a ‘lack of trust’ in the system.
Open Moove, a unique new property technology company founded in Cardiff, has launched a comprehensive property transaction platform, addressing ‘deep-rooted inefficiencies in the UK’s £8 trillion property market where only 1% of adults trust the current system’.
The platform was unveiled at an exclusive launch event on December 12th, 2024 with the aim of marking a significant step towards transforming how people buy and sell homes.
At the launch, hosted in RBC Brewin Dolphin’s office to an audience of conveyancers, estate agents and property professionals, including auctioneers, Ross McKenzie, Founder and CEO of Open Moove, said:
“Having spent 12 years in the property industry, including director-level positions at Purplebricks, Countrywide, and Keller Williams, I’ve seen firsthand how broken the current process is.
“After building my own estate agency and mortgage brokerage, it became clear that the industry needs a fundamental shift in how property transactions are managed. Our platform represents that change.”
The invitation-only launch event showcased the platform’s three core innovations:
- an AI-powered accountability system that tracks milestones and automatically updates all parties;
- a secure lifetime document marketplace, and;
- an intuitive chat functionality that revolutionises how property professionals and home movers interact.
Cai Gwinnutt, Founder and CTO of Open Moove, explained:
“We’ve built this platform from the ground up with scalability and innovation at its core.
“Drawing from over 20 years of experience working with startups across FinT ech, MedT ech, AI, and Cyber sectors, we’ve created a solution that combines cutting-edge technology with practical, user-focused features. My experience in working with organisations like Google, British Business Bank, and Barclays Eagle Labs has helped us design a platform that’s both innovative and commercially viable.”
The platform has already attracted over 200 property professionals to its waiting list, including estate agents, conveyancers, and mortgage brokers. Unlike existing solutions, Open Moove’s founders said ‘the platform takes a unique approach by selecting partners based on client satisfaction and completion times rather than just sales volumes’.
Key features unveiled at the launch event include:
- AI-powered accountability system ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
- Real-time performance data and client reviews
- Lifetime document storage and organisation
- Intelligent property transaction assistant
- ‘Excellence Partner’ certification for top-performing professionals
- Automated milestone tracking and updates
