AltraLaw, the UK’s first not-for-profit law firm, has joined Legal News Wales as a community partner.
The Wales-based law firm was founded by employment lawyer Nathan Vidini in 2019 and has gained significant traction in the last 12 months for its mission to blend first-class legal advice with being a ‘force for good’ and giving back to local communities and charitable causes.
AltraLaw is the UK’s first not-for-profit law firm. It uses its profits for good by giving them to causes chosen by its clients. This is called the AltraWay.
By doing this AltraLaw and all who work with them are giving back, leading by example, and using legal service to do good. The firm is looking for like-minded lawyers, firms and charities to partner with.
Nathan Vidini, Partner & Founder of AltraLaw has shared a message with our community to explain why it has become a Partner of our platform and what it hopes to inspire throughout the year:
Nathan added:
“AltraLaw is proud to partner with Legal News Wales to connect with other law firms and promote collaboration in the legal profession.”
“Over the next year, AltraLaw will be pleased to work with other law firms, share its story and provide insights into the good work that the legal profession can do for itself and others.”
AltraLaw has attracted ‘altruistic’ lawyers who add a strong legal reputation to the mix, with the majority of instructions sparked from referrals from other law firms, organisations and charities. In 2020, it won two national awards, the:
- Wales Legal Awards 2020 ‘CSR Team of the Year’; and the
- Pro Bono Awards 2020 ‘Small Firm of the Year’.
AltraLaw was also shortlisted for the Law Society Excellence Awards (Small – Medium Firm of the Year) and in the Wales Start Up Awards (Financial & Professional Services).
