A series of bespoke events for the Welsh legal sector to mark St David’s Day 2021
We are delighted to announce our event programme, hosted to mark St David’s Day in 2021 and to celebrate the legal sector in Wales.
Our series of free, online events take place on Friday 26 February and Monday 1 March.
Our special St David’s Day events focus on business resilience, sustainability and diversity in the legal profession in Wales, building on the Justice Commission for Wales 2020 report recommendations to ensure Wales has a thriving and sustained legal sector to cater for the needs of the communities they serve.
Celebrating our first year!
Legal News Wales will also celebrate it’s first year since launching in 2020, within a week of the first full UK-wide lockdown. Since then, we are proud to have forged a unique position; in being the ONLY source of wales-specific legal news, insight and events created exclusively for the legal and affiliated sectors in Wales.

Our St David’s Day Programme
Join us for this opening celebration, kickstarting our two-day programme of St David’s Day events for the legal sector in Wales.

We are honoured to announce that the Counsel General for Wales, Jeremy Miles MS, The President of The Law Society of England & Wales, David Greene, and Vice-Chair of the Law Society Wales Committee, Mark Davies (Goldstones), will join our editor for our opening event, to celebrate the work of the legal sector in Wales in the past year and share their vision and hopes for the year ahead.
What next for leadership in Wales?
Our opening event will be followed (after a short intermission), by the launch of our first Legal Sector Survey in collaboration with Sweetmans and Partners, who will host an insightful and interactive event to help law firms navigate a commonly asked question this year: ‘What next for leadership?‘, 11:30am – 12:30pm.
