Watkins & Gunn has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™2023 by Great Place to Work®, for the second year in a row.
Great Place to Work® performs rigorous evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions from leaders at each company to create the 2023 UK’s Best Workplaces™ list. It then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies’ employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience. Those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
On receiving the news, Clive Thomas, Managing Director of Watkins & Gunn, said:
“We are delighted with this accreditation and more importantly that our staff enjoy and value working here so much.
“We firmly believe that a great workplace is about having a high level of trust in each other; pride in the job and in the firm; great camaraderie with your colleagues; and feeling that you are listened to and that you make a difference. We also believe that happy staff mean happy clients and this is reflected in the excellent client reviews we have received on Google and Review Solicitors.”
Clive added that the firm’s focus on living its values, and proactive support for staff well-being, are just some of the reasons why ’employees love working for Watkins & Gunn’.
Within the anonymised survey, one member staff said:
“I absolutely love working at Watkins and Gunn with my work family. It is an extremely high quality firm of solicitors that delivers excellent service to our clients, has tremendously high standards and is very loyal and supportive of staff. Personally, I would never want to work anywhere else!”
Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK said:
“We strongly believe in the notion of ‘better for business, better for people, better for the world. Best Workplaces™ consistently put people first – not just in terms of looking out for their own employees but also by caring for and supporting their surrounding community and environment. We’re incredibly proud to recognise the very best.”
